Appliance Installed by Delivery Service or Handyman - Needs Licensed Inspection

A gas appliance installed by an appliance delivery service, a handyman, or any person without a Florida gas contractor license is not a licensed installation. The connection may look correct. It may even pass a simple soap-bubble check. It has not been pressure tested, it is not permitted, and it is not documented. In the event of a gas incident at that appliance, the homeowner’s insurance carrier will ask for the permit and the licensed contractor documentation. If there is none, the claim may be denied.
